3 Seasonal Ideas for Small Businesses

by Guest Author 25 September 2018 10:43

With summer coming to a close, businesses may be thinking about the upcoming fall and winter holidays. Businesses can ramp up interest from their customers by weaving some seasonal cheer into the workplace. Here are 3 ways businesses can use the season to promote their brand.

Sponsor a sock drive

When the weather starts to get chilly, your local homeless shelter will be in need of sock donations. By starting your own sock drive you can contribute to a needy cause and connect with your customers in a meaningful way. Talking about how you are helping the needs of the homeless in your community opens the door for conversation. It also lets customers know that you are committed to social responsibility causes. Offer a seasonal treat

If you have a brick and mortar office, you could have seasonal treats for your clients. During the fall, you could offer small cups of cider, candy corn, or popcorn and during the winter you could have hot cocoa, candy canes, and caramel corn. Customers will appreciate the extra goodies. These are just ideas. Of course, any other variation of a fall or winter-like treat would suffice. The point is to create a seasonal atmosphere within your office.

Host a contest or game

People enjoy playing games or entering contests, especially if there is a bit of challenge involved. Of course, some people may enjoy a simple raffle-style drawing, but more people will enjoy something that makes them think. For example, you could fill a large jar with colorful candy and have people write down how many pieces they think are in it. This would be their way of entering the contest. The prize could be the jar of candy or something else. The idea is just to have fun and enjoy the season more than anything else. This season have fun and contribute to a good cause all at the same time. Bring some excitement to the office and elevate your brand image in the meantime.
