Trustworthiness

by ShannonH 12 January 2012 11:00

Mark Twain once observed that a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.

In today's ever-expanding world of cyberspace, false information runs rampant and unchecked.

In the midst of all this uncertainty, there's still a resource that provides a bedrock of unadulterated accuracy and dependability: the Valley Yellow Pages.

A survey released in 2011 underscores the value of using Yellow Pages. The survey found that consumers still consider their Yellow Pages directory as the "most trusted, most accurate source they choose first when searching for local business information." Respondents cited amenities such as the easy access they have to Yellow Pages.

Among the survey's findings:

·      84 percent of respondents said they used either print or Internet Yellow Pages to find a local business in the last year.

·      The study found that 74 percent of U.S. adults used a print Yellow Pages directory to find a local business in the past year.

Still trusted, still valuable—the Valley Yellow Pages.

I was a account executive for Valley for several years and I was thinking about Valley Yellow Pages the other day so I thought I would stop by and leave a quick note. I went on to work at other yellow pages companies in the different locations that I have moved to in the years since I left Valley and have to say that I miss my days at Valley very much. I can say from experience that Valley values it's customers more than many of it's competitors do! Every person I worked with became like family, there are some great people in those VYP offices.
I have a very different lifestyle these days, a lifestyle that more and more people are starting to live in order to adapt to the economy... my family and I travel the entire United States for my husbands work. We usually do not live in one place for more than a few months. Since we are ALWAYS new to town I find myself using the yellowpages a lot to find restaurants, grocery stores, auto repair, pediatricians for the baby, doctors and dentists for us and so forth. You may be amazed at the amount of people who live 100% mobile. I guess that if you can't rely on the work to come to you, you have to go to it! Business owners need to keep that in mind, people are moving around a lot more now. Valley... make sure you leave a book rack at every RV park in your coverage area's... we will probably end up at one of them soon!
