Account Executive - Outside B2B Sales

AGI Publishing, Inc. is the leading independent directory publisher in Northern and Central California and the third largest independent publisher in the nation. Founded over 25 years ago to provide small and medium sized businesses with a choice of directory and Internet advertising and consumers with a better product, AGI Publishing, Inc. remains a privately held company with over 600 employees in 16 offices across California.

We are seeking highly motivated, dynamic, sales driven professionals who can establish new partnerships with clients by showing them the value of utilizing our print and online products to grow their businesses. Begin your sales career with AGI Publishing, Inc. today and earn compensation that is directly influenced by your strong sales performance; productive Account Executives that meet sales targets can earn between $60k and $90k per year. Additional sales incentive bonuses are also offered.

We offer new hires two weeks of paid sales training and an initial compensation option of up to six months of base pay plus commissions. After six months Account Executives are on a commission-only pay structure, benefiting from very aggressive commission rates.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and secure new accounts using company provided and self-generated leads
  • Up-sell and maintain current advertising programs
  • Develop creative marketing plans for customers that deliver a solid return on investment
  • Identify and schedule appointments with key business decision makers
  • Provide consultative services by helping business owners identify marketing strategies
  • Meet and/or exceed sales goals
  • Educate customers on the value and benefits of AGI Publishing, Inc.'s products
  • Attend local community events, trade shows and Chamber of Commerce events to network and obtain potential business leads
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization
  • Submit complete and accurate account information/contracts, copy and accompanying art work

Qualifications:

  • Proven record maintaining and exceeding sales quota/revenue goals
  • Ability to qualify and close cold call accounts
  • Professional, results driven attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (minimum-Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to maintain long-term customer relationships

Preferences:

  • College degree and/or 2 years of sales experience; B2B experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills and solid understanding of the internet

Requirements:

  • Valid CA driver's license, insurance, safe driving record and automobile
  • Cell phone with texting capabilities

  • Regular attendance and punctuality is required

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, District Sales Manager with strong leadership skills to achieve sales and profit goals within their assigned markets.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, develop and maintain a high performing sales team
  • Direct and coach sales team; monitor and document their progress
  • Establish daily sales quotas for sales team in conjunction with overall market goals
  • Keep abreast of industry trends impacting yellow pages print and internet advertising and communicate to your team as necessary
  • Responsible for distributing and managing account assignments
  • Review and manage campaign advertising contracts
  • Ensure advertising standards are met
  • Spend a minimum of 18 hours each week in the field with sales staff and submit one-on-one coaching reports to Regional Vice President (RVP)
  • Run sales meetings and workshops
  • Maintain statistical reports on sales activity and produce monthly reports for RVP
  • Perform weekly documented reviews of sales staff performance
  • Handle trade accounts as assigned
  • Represent Valley Yellow Pages at chamber functions and trade shows
  • Work with customer service, accounts receivable, and other corporate departments as needed to resolve complex account/client issues
  • Serve as an example and enforce company policies, including high standards of conduct and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of consistently leading a team to meet/exceed sales and revenue goals
  • B2B sales experience a plus
  • Supervisory experience; ability to develop, coach and counsel staff members
  • Experienced in work flow and process management
  • Yellow pages advertising experience preferred
  • Account management experience required
  • Skilled in analyzing, reporting and presenting statistical data
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across the organization
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
