Dr. Tanya Markis-Meyer OD, Owner & President, holds a bachelor of sciences degree in biological sciences from Sacramento State University and her doctor of optometry degree from the Southern California College of optometry. A former board member of the soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills. She was a key member of a Sacramento private practice for 10 years prior to residing in Nevada County. She is the optometry director at one of the largest vision insurance companies in the nation, where she assists in the development of quality care guidelines for optometrists and their patients. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, The Sacramento Valley Optometry Society, the Grass Valley/ Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, the California Optometric Association, and the Soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills. Some of you may have met her before when she was an associate of Dr. Brian McPartland from 1997-2000 here in Grass Valley .. Dr. Markis-Meyer is licensed in the treatment and management of ocular disease, including glaucoma and is certified in the co- management of laser eye surgery and cataract surgery. Grass Valley Eyecare is fortunate to have the assistance of our highly educated and well-established associate doctors who continue to expand their knowledge by taking continuing education courses to ensure that we can provide the newest treatments and services to safeguard your vision . Dr. Breeana Alexander OD, received her optometry doctorate at Marshall B Ketchum She Is a firm believer in following the heart's desire.
